KURUKSHETRA: Local BJP members who have been at loggerheads over fielding of an outsider candidate from Kurukshetra parliamentary constituency are reluctantly getting together for the rally of their party's prime ministerial nominee Narendra Modi on Thursday. After BJP declared Raj Kumar Saini as its candidate from Kurukshetra, a section of local party workers was up in arms against the high command decision.
Saini, former Haryana transport minister, belongs to Naraingarh town of Ambala district. His nomination as BJP candidate from Kurukshetra created commotion the party's local unit. Sources said due to fighting among the local party workers election campaign of Raj Kumar was getting delayed.
Now, Modi's visit the disgruntled workers have half heartedly joined preparations for his rally. With a day left for Gujarat chief minister's visit, all local BJP workers working together. State BJP president Ram Bilas Sharma also reached Kurukshetra to review preparations for Modi's rally.
